Why Farmer for Clayton Mayor?
I originally joined Clayton Council to be sure that people were represented because they weren't being heard. But once in office, I saw firsthand how this silence was leading to unchecked rapid growth with little regard for the cost on our community.
Ultimately, that cost will fall on all of us with a heavier strain on our roads, police, fire and long term fiscal consequences the city could avoid if we act now.
That’s why I’m running for mayor: To put Clayton back on the right path and ensure a secure, sustainable future built on smart growth, accountability, and transparency.

Review, revise, and re-legislate (if necessary) city plans and consistently following them to ensure security and certainty for current and future residents and businesses.
When following plans, ensure decisions are fiscally sound and do not compromise the city’s financial future.
As Mayor, I will be committed to making sure the city is not just smart, but also consistent and methodical, in ensuring smart growth in Clayton.

Respond to present and potential residents and businesses with clear answers consistent with city plans and policies.
Ensure policies are fair and equitable; if not, explain the differences and, if necessary, make adjustments.
As Mayor, I will be committed to being accountable to residents by responding to inquiries and being proactive to engage on current issues.
transparency
Address issues not only with ‘what’, ‘how’, or ‘where’, but also with ‘why’ as pertaining to the big picture of the city’s future.
Address city challenges early and often to find solutions to implement them soonest.
As Mayor, I will be committed to ensuring Clayton plans ahead with transparency for the future and stays out front of potential pitfalls and challenges.
